Lions and Tigers and School Projects - Oh My!

Today has been spent catching up, strategizing the holidays, putting up icicle lights, eating leftovers, learning flikr, and doing School projects with the children! Clarissa has a business proposal due in about 2 weeks but we wanted to get it done early - you can see the business card we created for her to use. I will give you more details when the project is done! Jacob has several projects due and hopefully one is done. Wow! Being a parent is a labor of love!

Thanksgiving Recap and Black Friday

Potato pancakes for breakfast, hike 10 miles, one blister, whole body soreness, lavender oil and mineral salt bath, yummy Thanksgiving dinner, lots of laundry, and then SHOPPING with three children! That is how I spent the last 24 hours! It has been fun and I am tired!

It's Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas...

It's been raining today but I don't care! I made 3 pumpkin pies, an apple pie, went shopping , helped Jerry set up his blog, organized my office, and helped the children begin to decorate for Christmas...whew! Here are a few pictures of our home. The trees with flags are in the boy's bedroom. Sis is having an Aloha Christmas and it is still in progress but it will look cute when it is finished. The rest of them are pics from other areas of the house. I am hoping to get our tree on Friday!

A Thanksgiving Disclaimer...

I know the blog says Merry Christmas because - well I LOVE CHRISTMAS!! However, we love Thanksgiving at our house too and we are very grateful for so many things this year! Be sure to watch for a special Thanksgiving post on Thanksgiving day! I am even more thrilled for Thanksgiving this year because the YW girls and I made pies. That's me above making crust from scratch! Too fun! I also went to Dream Dinners and made most of my "side dishes"! All I have to do is pop them in the oven along with the turkey and I am done! PS - If you want to know what to get me for Christmas or my birthday a Dream Dinners gift card would be at the TOP of the list! LOL! Well, Jon will be home in a few and I have a TON to do still so may your day be full of blessings!

All things Grateful: Blessing Baskets, Gratitude Journals and more...

For the past couple of weeks I have been almost daily adding to my journal in a section called "All things Grateful". It has been so much fun to see all the things I can come up with! I recently listened to a talk that spoke of a Blessing Basket. Inside the Blessing Basket family members can leave notes of what they are thankful for. We will read them daily at dinner with the goal being to fill the basket by Christmas! You can visit me at www.twitter.com/missvibrant to see what else I am grateful for! Today I chose to be grateful for all the beautiful flowers still in my garden and the wee jalapeno pepper that little Jon picked. He was so proud of himself! Here are a few pics for your enjoyment!

PS - Be sure get your own Twitter Act so we can Tweet away throughout the day!
